settled Florida right after the Civil War, of which their experiences and
adventures she writes about in intimate, vivid and spellbinding detail in her books
Bend in the Straight and Narrow and Ye Who Are Weary Come Home. Sarah will
talk about and sign her books, as well as have pictures of her pioneer family to
help bring her book’s characters to life. “If you like A Land Remembered, you will love Sarah’s books as much as I did!”,
Gary Roberts. Sarah’s programs will be at 1, 2 and 3pm.
The music stage schedule rotates artists throughout
the day with each artist performing twice and a who-knows-what-will-happen finally.
Don Blitch opens the festivities at 11 am and plays again at 2pm. Don plays
Folk and Old Time Festivals all over and is known for his songs derived from experiences

fashion of playing several instruments at one time.

on Broward & Palm Beach Times Top 10 Greatest South Florida Folk Singers of
All Time, with the likes of legends Jimmy Buffet, Dion Dimucci, Gamble Rogers, Fred

that is better known as Johnny Debt Prestage! Johnny’s songs include tinges of personal
hardships and of course his deep love for the crazy state of Florida. His over
100 personally penned songs were inspired by his affection for area history and
living the life of a down-and-out-country –boy. And about 4:45pm Don and Grant join
Johnny for a; who-knows-what-will-happen session!
In addition the IRC
Historical Society will also be on hand sharing local history. www.irchistorical.org Helping support the day’s charity could win you 2 tickets to a
