event details

Calendar IconTUESDAY, AUGUST 21

WHEN : 3/17/18. Superstar Singer Songwriter Series. Gates...

With three top ten hits and 6 top 40 singles, England Dan and John Ford Coley were one of the most popular acts in the golden era of 70’s soft rock music with songs like “I’d Really Love To See You Tonight,” “Nights Are Forever Without You”, “Love Is The Answer”, “Gone Too Far”, “We’ll Never Have To Say Goodbye Again”, “Just Tell Me You Love Me”, What’s Forever For”, “Broken Hearted Me”, “Sad To Belong" and more.

In 1969, John began his association with High School classmate Dan Seals, who was the younger brother of Jim Seals, of Seals & Crofts fame. They eventually formed England Dan and John Ford Coley. Their big break came in 1976 with “I’d Really Love to See You Tonight”.

They were unstoppable for three years, and in the early 1980’s the duo separated. Dan became a successful country singer and John began acting, and writing movie scores and books. Today John has been touring as a solo act and with such notables as Ambroisa, Three Dog Night, Poco, Christopher Cross, Stephen Bishop, Al Stewart and others. Dan sadly passed in 2009 from cancer. John will be sharing a rare performance that includes the hit plus stories behind the songs! www.johnfordcoley.com
