José Gaspar, nicknamed Gasparilla, was the "Last of the Buccaneers," who roamed and plundered on his ship the Floriblanca, across the Gulf of Mexico, the Spanish Main, and even Florida's Treasure Coast, allegedly using the natural and shallow St Lucie inlet, on occassion, to elude deeper draft Navy vessels pursuing him. So this year we decided it would be a Jolly good idea to combine Cinco De Mayo with the legend of Jose Gaspar and created our Cinco De Yo-Ho-Ho & a Bottle of Wine... featuring the LAZY JACKS BAND, pirate pARR-ty favors, and even a Pirate Costume Contest! So avast ye mateys, and batten down the hatches. Thar be a grape time a brewin!
