The New Bluenotes Generation, featuring Blue Note Ronnie Canada, not only bring such classic hits back to life like If You Don’t Know Me By Now, Wake Up Everybody, Bad Luck, The Love I Lost, Where Are All My Friends, but they also bring the classic Philadelphia choreography to the stage for a show that has it all.
When : 5:30-8:30 pm
Harold Melvin and The Blue Notes grew out of the 50’s Philadelphia sound and after honing their skills for over a decade they were ready for stardom when fate intervened with Teddy Pendergrass joining the group in 1970. They soon became one of the most popular Soul, R&B, and disco groups of the 70’s. When Teddy left Harold Melvin’s Blue Notes some 30 years ago, Ronnie Canada was asked to fill his shoes as lead vocalist. Today Ronnie is joined by Billy Hunt, who sang with original Blue Note Lloyd Parks, as well as other current members Will Vaughn, Shawn Brown, Miles Cane and Leylan Clayton as the New Bluenotes Generation. Unfortunately the man most responsible for their success, Harold Melvin, died in 1997 but his spirit and legacy lives on in the New Bluenotes!
